Actions & Indications:

主治﹕

Alleviates pain. Being used in rheumatoid arthritis, pain in broken bones, fungal infection of the skin.

驅風,除濕,定痛。用于風濕顽痹、傷折疼痛、皮膚顽癣。

Chemical ingredients:

化學成份﹕

全株含﹕ whole plant contains:
梫木毒素 grayanotoxin formerly known as andromedotoxin, acetylandromedol, and rhodotoxin)
石楠素 ericolin
木毒素 andromedotoxin
葉含 : leaves contain:
黄酮類 flavonoids
杜鹃花毒素 grayanotoxin
煤地衣酸甲酯  

Dosage:

用量﹕

0.3 g to 0.6 g in pills or powder forms. Use appropriate amount; mash and apply externally.

0.3~0.6g 入 丸 散。 外 用 適 量搗 擦 。

Toxicity:

毒性﹕

nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, low heart rate, low blood pressure, movement unincoordinated, difficulty in breathing, and in serious cases, breathing stops and die.

惡 心 嘔 吐 ﹐ 腹 瀉 ﹐ 心 跳 緩 慢 ﹐ 血 壓 下 降 ﹐ 動 作 失調 ﹐ 呼 吸 困 難 ﹐ 嚴 重 者 呼 吸 停 止 而 死 亡 。

Cautions:

禁忌﹕

 Not to use in cases of weakness and pregnancies.

  體 虛 及 孕 婦 忌 用 .

Antidote:

解 救 方 法 :

Bellow are suggested by some literature but they may not had been proven clinically:
  • use 0.05 % potassium permanganate or !% solution of tannin acid for stomach lavage. Then use magnesium sulfate to induce diarrhea or use in enema.
  • inhale oxygen, best containing 5% of carbon dioxide to stimulate respiratory CNS.
  • take egg white, activate carbon and sugar solution or use 5% glucose saline IV feeding and use stimulant; keep warm. If blood pressure drops provide medication to raise blood pressure.
  • folk therapy: take decoction made from30g of qi zi and water.

下 列 是 一 般 文 獻 上 建 議 的 解 毒 方 法 , 不 一 定 經 過 確 實 的 臨 床 驗 証 .
1. 用 0.05% 高 錳 酸 鉀 溶 液 或 1% 鞣 酸 溶 液 洗 胃 , 後 以 硫 酸 鎂 導 瀉 或 灌 腸 .
2. 吸 氧 , 最 好 用 含 5 % 二 氧 化 碳 的 氧 氣 以 奮 興 呼 吸 中 樞 .
3. 服 蛋 清 、 活 性 炭 和 糖 水 , 亦 可 靜 脈 滴 注 5% 葡 萄 糖 鹽 水 並 給 興 奮 劑 、 保 暖 ; 如 血 壓 下 降 則 給 升 壓 藥 .
4. 民 間 用 梔 子 汁 解 毒 ( 30g 梔子、煎水服 ).
