hu po 琥珀

hu po (fossil of amber) is the rosin fossil of pine trees.

Uses: rid of blood clots, calming, for epilepsy, insomnia, blood in urine, to promote urination, menses stoppage due to blood stasis and clots .

Dosage: 1. 5 g to 3 g, in powder form taken with liquid. Not used in decoction.

琥珀

琥珀為古代松科植物的樹脂埋藏地下經久凝結而成。

功用﹕散瘀止血；鎮驚安神﹐利水通淋。

主治﹕驚風癲癇，驚悸﹐失眠；治血便血尿﹐

小便癃閉不通﹐婦女血瘀血滯﹐經閉不通。

用量﹕一克半 至三克。研末沖服。不入煎劑。
