da chai hu tang

Name of Formula: da chai hu tang  (Source: Shang Han Lun, Jin Gui)

Application: typhus, influenza, malaria, pneumonia.

 

Composition:

shao_yao  12 g, chai hu  7.5 g, da huang 4 g, huang qin   12 g, sheng jiang  3 slices, zhi shi  12 g, hong zao  3 pieces, remove pits, ban xia    12 g.

Add 2.5 bowls of water. Simmer down to 80% of a bowl. Take 2 hours after meals, while it is still warm.

大柴胡湯 (傷寒金匱方)

各種熱性傳染病，如傷寒、流行性感冒、猩紅熱、丹毒、瘧疾、肺炎等病的經過中，欲從少陽病移轉為陽明病，而發熱或寒熱往來、胸膈苦滿，或噁心、嘔吐、食慾不振、舌乾而有黃苔，便秘而脈、腹俱為有力者，可用本方。

處方組成﹕

 芍藥 三 錢﹐  柴 胡 二 錢﹐ 大黃 一錢﹐ 黃 芩三錢﹐ 生 姜 三片﹐

 枳實 三 錢﹐紅棗 去核 三枚﹐ 半 夏 三 錢。

水 兩 碗 半。 煎 八 分 。飯後二小時溫服
