Actions & Indications:

主治﹕

For yinxu (yin deficient)   with flashes: usually combine with qing hao, di gu pi 

For yinxu with heat and pain: usually combine with gui ban, mu li, bai shao, e jiao .

For chronic malaria, pain in rib and chest, amenorrhea, hardening and swelling of liver and spleen: usually combine with san leng , e zhu, qing pi , xiang fu zi, hong hua  ,tao ren.

治陰 虛 潮 熱 ﹕  常 配 青 蒿 ,   地 骨皮  等 同 用 ；

治 陰 虛 陽 亢 動 風 ﹕  常 與 龜 板  ,    牡 蠣 ,  

 白 芍 ,   阿 膠 等 同 用 。

治 久 瘧 ,   瘧 母 ,   胸 脅 作 痛 及 月 經 不 通 ，

癥 瘕 積 聚 等 症 ﹕ 可 與 三 棱 ,   莪  朮  ,   青皮 ,    香 附 子 ,   紅 花 ,  

桃仁等 配 伍 應 用 。

生品先煎或砂炙。

滋陰潛陽宜生用，軟堅散結宜砂 炙用。

For internal use: 10 to 24 g in decoction

For external use: make into powder. Use appropriate amount and apply to affected area.
