Actions & Indications: 主治﹕	for seguela of strokes, Bell's palsy, headaches, migraine, sore throat, tetnus. External uses: snake bite, 用于中风痰壅﹐口眼歪斜﹐语言涩謇﹐痰厥头痛﹐偏正头痛﹐喉痹咽痛﹐破伤风症；外治瘰疲痰核﹐毒蛇咬伤。

Dosage: 用量﹕	3 to 5 g. Use appropriate amount for external use. 3-5g。外用適量。
Samples of formulae :處方舉例﹕	qi bai wan: for spreckles on the face Composition: bai fu zi, bai ji, bai lian, bai zhi, bai jiang can, bai fu ling, bai zhu. Use equal amount and make into fine powder. Applied to face with egg white. (source: Lei Zheng Pu Ji Ben Shi Fang)   jing bian fen: for brown spots on the face Compositon: bai fu zi, dong gua zi, bai ji, shi liu pi. Use equal amount and make into fine powder. Soak in rice wine for 3 days. Modern Research: 現代研究﹕
Cautions: 禁忌﹕	not to use in cases of pregnancies. Raw bai fu zi is toxic and not to be taken internally. not to use with ban xia, gua lou , bei mu, or bai ji. 孕妇忌用。 生品不宜内服 不宜與半 夏 ﹐瓜 蔞﹐貝母﹐白芨 同 用。
